Steinberg Canada pioneered many of the customer friendly initiatives that have become a staple of Steinberg. Club Cubase was formed in Canada in September 1991 and has spread all around the world with the Club Cubase Magazine being delivered to many countries and in different languages. At the 5th anniversary we were able to place Charlie Steinberg, Wolfgang Kundrus and Stefan Scheffler in front of Club Cubase Toronto members to answer questions and take suggestions directly from the uses. This close connection to the end user has stood Steinberg in very good stead over the years.
The fact that our founder is an educator meant that our go-the-extra-mile support for the education market was a natural. Our successful Education Outreach program that saw the donation of hundreds of copies of software to Ontario high schools was as much an act of generosity as an invaluable education for our company and staff. We are now even better able to serve educators from that exposure.
Our latest endeavour was to help to bring the software fraternity together with www.imsta.org, our anti-piracy education campaign. This campaign is dedicated to educate our customers and potential customers about the self destructive results of un restrained software piracy in professional and personal digital spaces. It's wrong and we believe we need to say this in a louder and more coordinated way. So far the response from the music software industry has been positive although we all acknowledge that this is a long, difficult battle - one measured in years, perhaps even decades.
Today, Steinberg Canada employs people all across Canada all of whom serve with the same degree of zeal and conviction as the original cast of characters. We strive to operate our business with honesty and a friendly can-do attitude that is borne out of genuine concern for all our customers. Steinberg Canada would be nothing without our thousands of customers across this country.
With the recent sale on Steinberg MT AG to Yamaha, Steinberg Canada sees a bright future for Steinberg and Steinberg products. Steinberg Canada is not part of Yamaha but will continue to provide products and services to Cubase users in Canada and beyond.
